i've recently just finished reading a million little pieces, by james frey.

i bought the book at a second hand store, and the previous owner had left some pages with the corners folded down. perhaps it was to mark them, because on each of those pages, i've found a piece of writing that struck a nerve. heres one of my favourites:

I think you're beautiful, but I wouldn't fuck you because when we were done, I wouldn't want you to feel fucked. I would try to make love to you, and I would probably be clumsy and awkward, but when it was over, I would want you to feel loved.
