About a month ago, a coworker left me a stack of her old CD's in my locker. These albums were once her favourites, and she decided to 'pass the torch' and donate some music that she thought i'd love as much as she did. somewhere in the 12 or 13 albums, was this: Taking Back Sunday's Notes From The Past. Taking Back Sunday has never gotten old to me. In fact, in some sort of crazy way, they changed my life. It was fortunate enough that TBS was one of the bands that my love for music has sprouted from. All of the songs that made me fall in love with them, are found on this album. Number Five With A Bullet, Cute Without The E, You're So Last Summer.. and in my opinion, the best track: Bonus Mosh pt II. Reason being, i have two songs that have stuck with me. This is one of them. All of my best playlists include TBS. They fit every mood - when i'm upset, angry, or shitting rainbows happy, its always a perfect soundtrack. Also, this album holds tons of sentimental value. It was given to me from someone who i greatly look up to. Someone who i hope to be like one day. So, i'll allow music like this into my life, because i believe that it can save lives like mine, and restore some sort of meaning.
